AGSTATS is a statistical analysis program that allows county agents and growers to analyze completely randomized and randomized complete block experiments with a maximum of 15 treatments, six replications, and no missing plots. The user selects the experimental design to be used and is then asked for the number and label of treatments and replications. A row (treatments) and column (replications) table for data entry is displayed. The program allows changes in table headings, replication and treatment labels, and data. Output is a summary table including means, LSD, and CV values that can be stored on disk, printed, or both. The program will recycle to allow additional data using the same design-treatment-replication information or the user can enter information for a new trial. The program runs on IBM-compatible computers. While intended for an inexperienced data analysis audience, the program is also useful for quick analysis of small lab, greenhouse, or field experiments and as a teaching aid.
