A graphics library is presented for PC-based crop growth simulation models written in the FORTRAN programming language. The library can be incorporated into simulation models with only minor programming. It allows the user to graphically plot simulated variables and measured values on the computer screen while a model is running. Graphs can also be sent to an output device such as a plotter, printer, or slide maker. Procedures for installing the library in a simulation model are described with the SIMPOTATO potato model as an example. The library is a module that can be quickly and easily added to FORTRAN simulation models by even relatively inexperienced programmers.
