When irrigating with gated pipe it is desirable to adjust each gate so that all gates have equal rate of flow. Visual estimates are inaccurate, and other methods currently used are cumbersome and time consuming. A sunpie, accurate device ("Ettergate") is described that gives rapid measurement of flow rate from gated irrigation pipe. The device is made from a 3.8 liter rectangular can and a 0.45 leg coffee can.
