Time of emergence is a good indication of a cotton plant's vigor and potential yielding ability. Emergence time of the cotton plant integrates the effects of seed quality and planting depth. In this study, plant survival and yield were most highly correlated with emergence time and to a lesser degree with germination percentage and planting depth.
Key Words: plant vigor seed deterioration percent emergence vs. yield
