Synopsis: Seed of 21 grasses, 4 legumes, and 1 forb, many of which were new to agriculture, was stored for 14 years at 4 widely different locations in the West. Some seeds were processed and some were treated with a fungicide. Germination tests were made annually. The results show that longevity is a species x location interaction. Processing seed did not shorten longevity materially, but treatment with the fungicide had an adverse effect.
