Synopsis: Nitrogen applications to a vigorous alfalfa-orchardgrass sod on Wooster silt loam produced more hay but increased the grass at the expense of the alfalfa. The yield, crude protein percentage, and botanical composition of alfalfa-bromegrass and alfalfa-timothy sods were not affected by nitrogen.
