Segregation for Stem Solidness in Crosses of Rescue and Four Portuguese Wheats1

Sypnosis: Data indicate that four Portuguese wheats, P.I. 56219-12, P.I. 56219-9, P.I. 56229-2, and P.I. 56225-8, possess the same major factor, or factors, for stem solidness that occur in Rescue. The last three named apparently differ from Rescue by an undetermined number of minor genes that affect the expression of solidness.
