Sypnosis: Mammoth selections of flue-cured tobacco produced fewer pre-topping suckers, more leaves, fewer post-topping suckers, higher yields, greater acre values, and lower values per hundredweight than did their dayneutral recurrent parents. In certain families yield increases were obtained through the use of the mammoth gene without loss in quality.
