Influence of Cultural Practices on Tuber Yields and Sapogenin Content of Discorea floribunda1

Synopsis: Significantly higher yields of tropical yams and significantly higher sapogenin content were found in tubers growth with adequate vine support. Chicken wire trellis gave the best support to the vines. Both yield and sapogenin content were higher in the second year growth of plants than in the first year.
